I liked it, I mean it’s majorly flawed but damn I was really entertained and I love me a good ol’ demonic possession movie, it was quick, simple and straight to the point and very entertaining HOWEVER, it does forget that it’s a movie and stuff like emotional development, character development has to happen in order for the film to have a little bit of emotional weight and depth.
Russell Crowe delivers a very good performance as the Pope’s exorcist and really engages in the material.
I do find the film's weak points to be its predictability, subpar writing and lack of genuine scares, the scares are easily seen coming and would scare those who are easily scared.
Horror fans might enjoy this film because it has a high entertainment value and with non-stop action but they might also hate it and find major fault in its predictability.
